Real Madrid are reportedly close to extending Jude Bellingham’s contract until 2031, with a significant pay rise expected to place the England star among the club’s highest-paid players alongside Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé.
Jude Bellingham is enjoying his best start to a season in several years at Real Madrid. Reports about a possible contract extension have been surrounding José Mourinho’s team in recent weeks. The expectation is that the Englishman will receive a new deal on the same level as players such as Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé.
Real Madrid’s squad is preparing for its match against Sevilla while the club’s executives continue working on the team’s future. Jude Bellingham is the main talking point at the Spanish giants following reports emerging from the Spanish capital. His contract renewal is practically finalized and is expected to follow a similar structure to other top-level players such as Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius.
According to AS, Real Madrid and the England international have reached a preliminary agreement to extend Jude Bellingham’s contract until 2031. The new deal would include a substantial pay rise, bringing his salary at least in line with Vinícius Jr.’s current earnings.
Real Madrid is expected to reward Jude Bellingham for his performances. He will not receive signing bonuses as substantial as those associated with Kylian Mbappé’s arrival. However, reports from AS indicate that various performance-related bonuses could make him the second-highest-paid player in the entire squad, ahead of the Brazilian superstar.
At Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham is considered a fundamental part of the club’s project. This applies not only to his performances on the pitch but also to his role in expanding the club’s brand worldwide. His participation in merchandising campaigns and his importance to English-language media illustrate why Real Madrid wants to keep him at the club for many years.
In financial terms, Jude Bellingham’s new contract is expected to exceed €24 million per year. The renewal is a strategic move designed, among other things, to ward off interest from Premier League clubs. It is worth remembering that the Englishman never played in his country’s top division, having moved from Birmingham City to Borussia Dortmund several years ago. Following Vinícius, Bellingham is expected to be the next major star to renew his contract.
Since joining the Spanish capital’s club, Jude Bellingham has already won major trophies including the UEFA Champions League and LaLiga. His first season marked the high point of his early spell at the Santiago Bernabéu, and the team is now enjoying its strongest start to a campaign in several seasons.
