Miami, Georgia, Utah, and Alabama headline a pivotal Saturday as seven ranked matchups give College Football Playoff contenders an opportunity to strengthen their postseason positions.

The 2026 college football season reaches another important stage in Week 10, with several nationally ranked programs preparing for challenging matchups on Saturday, November 7. Following the release of the first College Football Playoff rankings on November 3, teams now have an opportunity to strengthen their résumés and improve their position in the national championship race.

The undefeated Miami Hurricanes precede in the committee's initial rankings at No. 1 with an 8-0 record. Georgia 7-1, Utah 8-0, Indiana 8-1, and Alabama 6-2 complete the top five.

Miami's biggest trial comes against No. 11 Notre Dame in South Bend. The Hurricanes enter the matchup undefeated, while the Fighting Irish carry a 7-1 record. A victory would strengthen Miami's position at the top of the rankings, but Notre Dame has an opportunity to earn a significant win against one of the country's remaining unbeaten teams.

No. 2 Georgia travels to face No. 10 Ole Miss in a crucial SEC contest. The Bulldogs enter at 7-1, while the Rebels are 6-2. Both programs need a strong performance, particularly Georgia as it looks to maintain its position among the leading playoff contenders.

At the same time, No. 3 Utah welcomes No. 9 BYU in a highly anticipated Big 12 rivalry. The undefeated Utes are 8-0, while BYU enters at 7-1. With both teams ranked inside the top 10, the result could have a significant impact on their playoff credentials.

No. 5 Alabama travels to Baton Rouge to meet No. 14 LSU in another important SEC showdown. Both teams hold 6-2 records, making the matchup an opportunity for either program to strengthen its postseason case.

No. 6 Kentucky also faces a difficult challenge against No. 13 Tennessee, with the Wildcats looking to build on their 7-1 start. Elsewhere, No. 7 Texas visits No. 18 Missouri, as both teams enter with identical 6-2 records.

Another notable matchup takes place in Columbus, where No. 12 Ohio State hosts No. 23 Oregon. Ohio State enters at 6-2, while Oregon is 5-3. Both programs need an important conference victory to improve their standing as the playoff race develops.

Miami, Utah, and UCLA are the three undefeated FBS teams entering Week 10, each with an 8-0 record. However, remaining unbeaten is only part of the selection committee's evaluation. Strength of schedule, head to head results, performances against common opponents, and other relevant factors also influence the rankings.

With seven ranked matchups scheduled for Saturday, the results could significantly change the national picture ahead of the committee's next rankings release on November 10.

Week 10 presents an important opportunity for the nation's leading programs. Miami must navigate Notre Dame, Georgia faces Ole Miss, and Utah prepares for BYU, while Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, Ohio State, and Oregon also face demanding tests.
